Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, Detection, and Treatment
Our cardiology services span the entire spectrum of patient care, ranging from cardiovascular disease prevention and detection to pharmacologic and interventional treatment. We work closely with the divisions of cardiac and vascular surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital, delivering the most innovative and comprehensive care. We can provide electrocardiogram services. An electrocardiogram, or EKG, is a brief recording of the electrical impulses or rhythm of the heart through electrodes placed on your chest, arms, and legs. This allows us to asses and diagnose abnormalities, and can help to identify high risk for a stroke or heart attack. In the field of Cardiology, ultrasound has a wide variety of applications for imaging blood vessels including arteries and veins. Lower extremity venous ultrasound is typically performed if a clot in the vein is suspected. Lower extremity arterial ultrasound may be performed in patients with peripheral arterial disease. Our Cardiovascular department is led by Dr. Wilbur Asheld. Please contact our office to get started on your cardiovascular health today!
